Stingray Charter Boat skippered by Graeme Crowe
The charter boat Stingray is skippered by Graeme Crowe and is the latest boat to join the St Abbs fleet.
The Skipper
Graeme Crowe has a commercially endorsed day skippers ticket. He has spent all his life connected to the sea and has worked on various trawlers before starting a job ashore.
He is currently a crew member for the St Abbs RNLI lifeboat and comes from a long line of fisherman/lifeboat men. Graeme is married to Louise and they have a young daughter called Isla and they live in Coldingham which is about a mile away from St Abbs.
The Boat
Stingray is an offshore 105 and was built in 1989. She is 10 meters long and is fitted with a short wheelhouse which leaves plenty of deck space for divers and their equipment. She is powered with an Iveco 320hp engine giving a top speed of 18 knots. So we can get you to and back from the dive site quickly. The boat is licensed for 12 passengers and has a 20 mile code by day from a safe haven.
Stingray also has a dive lift fitted for easy access in and out of the sea
- The boat is fitted with all the latest electrical equipment.
- Tea, Coffee and biscuits are provided after every dive.
- Safety - Stingray is a very safe and stable offshore 105 boat. The large deck space available provides plenty of room for work, pleasure and the accommodation of gear and equipment.
- The vessel is RYA approved to MCA safety standards.
- All safety equipment is carried aboard including life jackets for all and a life raft. Oxygen and a first aid kit is also carried onboard.
